Online SAP CRM Training | Detailed View on Different Types of CRM

CRM is software that helps businesses automate repetitive processes for efficiency, track customer data, and boost customer satisfaction. In the past, global marketers have shifted from sellers to customers. Today, customers are more powerful than sellers, if we consider the driving factors of market. We have different types of CRM according to the changes in customer portfolios, speed of business operations, requirement of handling large data, and the need of sharing information, resources, and efforts jointly.
CRM systems are divided based on their prominent characteristics. There are four basic types of CRM systems: (Learn more from SAP CRM training by experts).
  • Strategic CRM
  • Operational CRM
  • Analytical CRM
  • Collaborative CRM
Strategic CRM
Strategic CRM is a type of CRM in which the business puts the customers first. It collects, segregates, and applies information about customers and market trends to come up with better value proposition for the customer.
The business considers the customers’ voice important for its survival. In contrast to Product-Centric CRM (where the business assumes customer requirements and focuses on developing the product that may sometimes lead to over-engineering), here the business constantly keeps learning about the customer requirements and adapting to them.
These businesses know the buying behavior of the customer that happy customers buy more frequently than rest of the customers. If any business is not considering this type of CRM, then it risks losing the market share to those businesses, which excel at strategic CRM.
Operational CRM
Operational CRM centralizes the business process, includes Sales, Marketing and Service automation. The main objective of this kind of CRM is to generate leads, change them into contacts, hold all required details and offer service throughout the life cycle.
Salesforce is the best suitable CRM for large established businesses and Zoho is the best CRM for growing or small-scale businesses.
Collaborative CRM
Collaborative CRM is otherwise called as Strategic CRM, which enables an organization to distribute customer data among various business units like the sales team, finance team, marketing team, service team and support team. The purpose of collaboration is to uplift the quality of service and customer satisfaction.
Collaborative CRM benefits are as follows:
  • Recognizes customer service payment reduction opportunities.
  • Combines data to create an improved customer service overview
  • Promotes customer channel communication
Collaborative CRM enables smooth communication and transactions among businesses. Though traditional ways such as air mail, telephone, and fax are used in communication, collaborative CRM employs new communication systems such as chat rooms, web forums, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

There are collaborative CRMs with in-built Partner Relationship Management (PRM) software application which helps in managing partner promotions. SugarCRM is a popular collaborative CRM. It enables expert collaboration and provides state-of-the-art social capabilities.
Analytical CRM
Analytical CRM helps management, marketing, sales and support organization to determine the desirable way to serve their customers. Data analysis is the major function of this type of SAP CRM applications. It examines customer information, coming from various touch points, to get valid insights about the current status of an organization. It helps management to take the honorable decision, marketing executives to know the campaign effectiveness, sales administrators to increase sales and support organization to improve quality of support and build the strong customer relationship.
Analytical CRM can set different selling approaches to different customer segments. In addition, different content and styling can be offered to different customer segments. For the customers, analytical CRM gives customized and timely solutions to the problems. For the business, it gives more prospects for sales, and customer acquisition and retention.

Online SAP CRM Training | Integrating the Revenue Cycle into CRM Processes

CRM stands for “Customer Relationship Management” and is a set of methodologies and tools that helps to manage customer relationship in an organized way.
In today's highly competitive business environment, the focus of top companies is increasing on its most valuable assets – customers. Thus, the companies require a suitable software solution to cater to its customers which is user-friendly, easily customizable, fully integrated, and can be implemented flexibly. Want to learn SAP CRM training join with SAP Trainings Online for beginner to advanced level training.
When a product or service piques a buyer’s interest, the buyer buys into it. However, without using some level of persuasion or influence to attract buyers, buyers tend to look elsewhere.
Acceleration via customer experience
Consumers expect, and deserve, the best a business has to offer. So, when it comes to customer relationship management (SAP CRM),personalizing the customer experience is what accelerates revenues.
The perfect CRM opportunity is found when businesses add together two old sayings: “time is based on events” and “time is money.” Any activity the business can use to hold the attention of the consumer—that the consumer finds interesting—can create demand for the company’s product.
The transactions comprising sales and revenue collections equate to the processes in the revenue cycle. As various sales personnel, marketers, and other business stakeholders communicate with prospective buyers, a new sale slowly forms. That is the customer experience. To accelerate the customer experience in the past, businesses would simply increase the number of sales and reduce the turnaround time required to generate revenues.
The CRM process was built to accommodate the integration of the revenue cycle processes. Sales and marketing professionals can use the revenue cycle and CRM cycle as frameworks for consistency in producing prospective and existing customer sales and repeat sales. The only requirement in this process is the availability of up-to-date, accurate customer data. Businesses can feed customer data directly into sales lead generation efforts; brand awareness, brand reputation, and marketing strategies; and customer incentives and loyalty campaigns. Customer management is directly followed by order management in the revenue cycle. Which is directly associated with the CRM cycles interact and deliver process and acquire and retain process? To accelerate the CRM cycle is to accelerate the revenue cycle. SAP CRM Order to Cash process can be completed with integration to the SAP ECC system and specifically to the SAP SD module. Know in detail concepts from SAP SD training
Revenue Cycle Benefits from CRM Processes
The revenue cycle is totally dependent upon the factors that feed income into the business. To earn a profit, there must first be revenues. Ultimately, therefore, the customer comes first. Integrating requirements from the revenue cycle into the CRM processes speeds a business to its profitability.
Strong CRM Data Improves the Potential for Revenue Generation
CRM marketing and advertising are customer interaction activities that result in conversions to sales, which equate to revenue. The stronger the CRM customer and lead generation data is, the greater the potential for revenue generation.
Maximizing revenues during website conversions
CRM customer data and lead generation data are the perfect basis for upselling and cross-selling. Approximately 30% of all e-commerce website visitors will purchase a product; the remainder will browse, but not purchase. Utilizing the CRM processes to offer additional sales or similar products at a better value maximizes revenues for the 30% who are buyers.
Adding predictability for more accurate results
Developing a sales strategy based on CRM key performance indicators, demographics, and metrics will improve the predictability of revenue forecasts so that the more predictable the revenue forecast is,the more accurate the results will be.
Faster Transaction Processing Allows for More Revenues
Extensive delays in order fulfilment can result in a lost sale. Automated invoicing, cash receipts, analysis, and reporting are serviced by CRM processes to automate order fulfilment by prepopulating data and ensuring that each customer receives the same opportunities, offers, rewards, and service.

SAP CRM Online Training Software | SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C), Useful for SAP CRM Consultants

SAP’s cloud for customer (C4C) is making its presence felt in the CRM market with its inbuilt integration to SAP CRM, ECC and several other Third party applications. Let us start by looking into the history of SAP and its CRM efforts in the past. SAP has been looking to get into the CRM space since 1995 and the real push came with the acquisition of a German Sales force Automation company with its development centre in Bangalore. This became a precursor to what we know as SAP CRM On premise solution today. This Customer OnDemand (CoD) which comprised of Sales OnDemand, Service OnDemand and later Social OnDemand evolved into what we now know as SAP Cloud for Customer.
SAP Cloud for customer is much more complete, robust and mature solution than its predecessors. It comes with prepackaged integrations to SAP ERP and SAP CRM, Mobile interfaces, strong social features. The entire product can be seen as a combination of a browser based Silverlight UI, Integrated social features of JAM, Set of rich Mobile apps for iOS & Android, SAP HANA for Integration scenarios (Learn more about SAP HANA from SAP HANA training by SAP Trainings Online). SAP PI can also be a choice for Integration which we will discuss later.
The overall architecture of SAP C4C is that of a multi-tenant architecture which means that the SAP C4C and the Integration component itself is shared with other customers. There is also a single-tenant model for customers which are a private edition for additional cost. The multi-tenant model means that whenever SAP upgrades or releases a patch it might overwrite some of the custom solutions built on top of the SAP C4C solution. This is the most common concern of customers going on a multi-tenant model. While the cloud solutions push for standardization customers will still need their industry specific and company specific modifications in place.
  • SAP PI/PO – Recommended if you already have SAP PI/PO and prefer to have Integration On-Premise.
  • SAP HANA Cloud Integration – Recommended if you are not using SAP PI and have more Cloud to Cloud Integration
On-Premise only: Some of the choices the CRM customers today look for are modern & easy to use UI for Sales people; Browser based access, Mobile access Online & Offline scenarios. SAP CRM already provides a Browser based UI however the Mobile access is something that the customer will need to choose from a limited choice of apps and take the burden of device choice as well as deployment. Customers who have heavily customized their SAP CRM to suit the processes or use deep Marketing and Service functionalities and do not have an End user case for going to cloud would prefer to keep their solution On-Premise only.
SAP Trainings Online provides best SAP CRM training with our training learners can become expert in concepts like Organization Management, Account Management, Territory Management, Product Master data, Transaction processing, Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Quotation Management, Order Management, Contract Management, Activity Management and Visit Planning.etc.
Cloud Only: SAP C4C alone would suffice if the customer is looking for a light weight solution with standard CRM processes like Activities and opportunities. The integration choices need to be considered for which system would be the leading system and which ERP integrations are most needed for the field force.
SAP C4C could also be an excellent candidate for replacing non SAP CRM solutions in SAP ERP customers for better integration and more unified architecture.
Private Cloud: If customers have high needs for customization within the cloud solutions and would not want SAP C4C upgrades and patches to be impacted then would prefer this solution. This solution is as good as having an On Premise solution albeit on SAP C4C and not SAP CRM.
Hybrid: This solution will have both SAP CRM and SAP C4C co-existing in the CRM landscape. This is of the most interest to SAP CRM consultants.
A simplified and representative architecture diagram with all the CRM and Related components is shown below. The most common system components of a Hybrid CRM solution are given below along with representative integrations. From a CRM consultant point of view there are decisions to be made on Integrations, leading systems for Master data and Transaction data, On the run Reporting and historical reporting, volume of transactions that need to be flow between separate systems.
The C4C integration to CRM On premise could be on the basis of level of customization required, whether the functionality is required to be on the cloud/on the field, what are the master data governance rules within the company, Sales organization structure.
The C4C integration to ERP could be on the basis of types of transactions needed to be displayed to the front end sales like Orders, Quotations or contracts. Based on the role of the Sales person whether they need pricing information, availability checks or even customer credit information. The principle here could be that of only deploying“Must Have” Integration with the ERP transactions.
Reporting: The C4C Sales analytics provides standard set of reports and dashboards for the day to day use of a Sales representative. These analytics is realtime and can be integrated with the BW Data warehouse. The standard architecture should suffice for most needs although there might be some BW reporting (want to learn BW concepts by experts see SAP BW training for details) key figures needed on the Sales Analytics dashboards based on the business needs.

Learn SAP CRM | Integration of SAP cloud for customer with SAP backend (SAP CRM or ECC)

The SAP CRM provides best-in class functionality for marketing, sales and service. It supports customer-facing business processes across multiple interaction channels. SAP CRM enables organizations to focus on strategies for customer-driven growth and to differentiate themselves in the market by providing a superior customer experience. SAP CRM training by SAP Trainings Online provides you with live project and case studies included in course curriculum.
SAP CRM supports the following functions:
  • Management of all customer data using the central business partner management to customer relationships and hierarchies.
  • Effective Activity/Contact Management
  • IS-U / CCS-standard integration
  • Complaint management with escalation mechanisms
  • Realization of sales processes for any products and categories
  • Web Channel Integration connects your online activities, especially online shops, with your CRM system
  • Billing in CRM and interfaces to Accounting
  • Comprehensive reporting capabilities provide administrators evaluations from different applications
  • User-friendly customer segmentation and cross-system target group selection
  • Targeted marketing planning and campaign management
  • Integration with MS Office (eg. Automatic filling of Word templates with automatic contact system, offer calculation with MS Excel) via Web Service
  • Synchronization with groupware calendars from Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes
SAP Cloud integration with SAP backend (SAP CRM or ECC)
SAP provides pre-packaged integration scenarios called iFlows for integrating SAP C4C with either SAP CRM or ECC.
These iFlows are represented in the - very visual - BPMN language and include configuration for both end points of the integration flow between SAP C4C and the backend, and the message flow and mapping information between the inbound and outbound messages. The screenshots below show examples of this content. This gives an idea of the sort of work being saved by leveraging this integration content.
These iFlows live on a Middleware or Enterprise Hub which can either be SAP PI or a relatively new SAP Cloud product called SAP HANA Cloud Integration (HCI). SAP HCI is a new holistic, cloud-based integration technology, with both process and data integration capabilities on a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure. This technology supports integration of SAP cloud applications to not only SAP, but other third-party applications/data sources - both on-premise and Cloud – as well. It is one of the capabilities in the broader SAP HANA Cloud platform. Learn database concepts from SAP HANA training.
iFlows can be customised by customers using the Eclipse-based Netweaver Developer Studio. (See SAP NetWeaver training for details) One example would be for the adding of mappings for bespoke fields.
SAP pre-packaged iFlows will drastically reduce the integration TCO, as the illustrative diagram below shows. Without this content, the integration cost is such that for example most Salesforce customers I have come across have not spent the money building the backend integration.
SAP provides many integration options to non-SAP systems:
Pre-packaged scenarios – A number of 3rd party providers have developed easy to integrate solutions whereby they have already developed the integration point by leveraging Cloud for Customer APIs. Examples include Twitter, Facebook, Netbase, Klout, Google and Bing maps, where activating the integration only takes a few minutes by providing API keys.
Web service APIS - If you need an integration scenario that isn’t available in the standard delivery or through a partner solution, you can build your own scenario using the existing SAP Web services. As standard, SAP C4C provides a number of web services and Odata interfaces.
SAP Cloud Application studio SDK - If the available Web services are not sufficient, you can use the SAP Cloud Applications Studio SDK to create a new Web service. Access to this SDK and a development tenant will require additional license not included in the SAP C4C license.

SAP CRM Training | SAP CRM – Sales Order Management and Process

Sales order management
SAP CRM Sales order processing is used to create and process a sales order and also to trigger logistics processing in the integrated back-end SAP ERP system. Learn more from SAP CRM training Following are the possible sources for creating Sales Orders in CRM:
  • SAP ERP
  • Directly in CRM
  • IC web client
  • Mobile sales
  • Internet sales application
  • Handhelds
Sales order processing in SAP CRM consists of following steps:
  • Create sales order with requested product
  • Perform ATP check
  • Maintain and determine the pricing conditions
  • Integrated ERP system helps to perform credit check
  • System replicates it to and receives it from the SAP ERP
  • Order confirmation is sent to the customer
Outbound delivery activities such as picking, packing, transport, and goods issue takes place in the integrated SAP ERP system. Billing process provided within SAP CRM could be used for creating customer invoices.
Billing document can be created with reference to the sales order, deliver, or contract depending upon the customizing settings. General data entered at the header level of the sales order includes transaction types, requested delivery date, employee responsible, contact person, sold-to party and ship-to party.
Other Features in Quotation and Sales Order Management
In the SAP CRM Sales processing there are certain functionalities which are well featured by SAP. Some of these are product determination, listing and exclusion, free goods and availability check. These features are used at different stages of Sales processing within SAP CRM Sales. Learn more about sales order process from SAP SD training.
Product determination
During the sales document processing, system can automatically determine and substitute the products.
  • With the help of condition technique, it is possible to configure a product determination procedure.
  • This product determination procedure can then be assigned to a transaction type.
  • When a sales document is created for this transaction type and a product is entered, this will trigger the product determination procedure.
  • This configuration is used when there is a requirement to have product substitution in a sales document.
  • Product determination is not used to substitute a product which is not available with another available product.
Listing and Exclusion
Listing and Exclusion for a particular account represents which products are permissible or not permissible for that account in a specific timeframe for a particular business transaction.
There are two possible approached to implement this:
  • PPR - Partner/Product Range (without condition technique)
  • A newer approach using condition technique
In case of PPR, assignment of business partners, products and timeframe is done. The necessary settings for the PPR are done in the customizing.
In the newer approach Listing determines a product valid or invalid. This Listing consists of header and item. Header contains the condition technique and item contains PPR information.
With free goods you can implement quantity discount. That is, you can offer a product for free to your customer when a certain quantity of product has been ordered. This feature is also implemented using the condition technique. It could be implemented in two ways:
  • Inclusive free good: the discount is applied when certain quantity of product is purchased.
  • Exclusive free good: certain amount of product is offered for free when some predefined quantity of product is purchased.
Contract management
Through different SAP CRM channels, SAP CRM Sales offers Contract Management which is embedded into the sales cycle. Contract is an agreement with your customer based upon agreed conditions related to price, target value, or target quantity. It allows your company to release products or services based upon these conditions. It could be created based upon an opportunity which is won by the sales employee responsible. Further to this opportunity sales employee responsible and the customer agrees to favourable conditions, based upon which the sales order is then created. Customer needs to accept this contract and then the sales manager releases this contract. Customer can then order products against this released contract. Around completion date of the contract, Sales representative can contact the customer to renew the contract.
The sales orders created are linked to the contract as follow-up documents and thus it keeps record of the entire required information from all the sales orders created.
SAP CRM offers two types of contract:
Quantity contract is an agreement with a customer that he or she will buy certain quantity of particular in a specified timeframe.
Value Contract is an agreement with a customer that he or she will buy certain value of particular in
A specified time frame
Following are relevant status values for a CRM sales contract:
  • Open - This is set by default when contract is created.
  • In Process - You can set this status while negotiating the contract with customer.
  • Released - This status needs to be set, when an item in the contract is ready and can be used to release products and create sales orders against it.
  • Completed - This status is set for the items whose validity has expired or, whose target value or quantity has been released completely. It could be set automatically or manually. Once an item in contract is in this status it will not be possible to release products against it

With this role SAP standard functionalities related to the Account Management, Activities, Sales Cycle, Pipeline Management and Sales Management can be performed by the Sales representatives.

  • Once the sale representative secures agreement based upon the quotation, sales order can then be created.
  • Billing for the sales orders can be performed within the SAP CRM
In SAP CRM Sales Quotations are created as follow-up documents for opportunities. A quotation can be copied or converted to a sales order (Get an insight into sales process from SAP SD training concepts). It is also possible to create quotation with reference to the inquiry. For a quotation, validation period is maintained within which customer can place or modify the order, or can cancel the order.

For these proposed products, it is possible to perform ATP check and the price calculation.

You can have following types of the product proposals:
  • Cross selling
  • Up selling
  • Down selling
  • Accessories
  • Top and product lists
SAP CRM opportunity Management
An Opportunity is defined as a sales prospect, requested service or product, sales volume and a sales probability. Opportunity can be a possibility of sales of service or product and can result from a bid invitation, sales deal or from a trade fair. Opportunity management is one of the integral part of CRM module and this allows you to control the sales process.
  • Opportunity management in Sales should be used in the following scenarios:
  • When sales cycle in an organization spans for a longer time period.
  • When there are many sales representatives working in an organization.
  • When there are large sales order values and they are distributed.

Learn SAP CRM Online | SAP CRM Integration With SAP SD Module

The SAP ECC and CRM are closely integrated with each other and they have to be synchronized in some configurational areas like Sales, Customer master records, Organizational model, etc.SAP CRM training by SAP Trainings Online gives you complete course structure to deal and implement in a practical way starting from Organization Management, Account Management, Territory Management, Product Master data, Transaction processing, Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Quotation Management, Order Management, Contract Management, Activity Management and Visit Planning.etc.
Example − An organization model defines the sales area you should use in CRM and check in SAP ECC system. Sales area contains the following components
  • Sales organization
  • Distribution channel
  • Divisions
Download the data from sales area to ECC system and this is performed when you configure the CRM module. You need to verify the configurational data in ECC before setting up in the CRM.
Maintaining divisions in CRM
You can select if you want to work with divisions in SAP CRM. When you are using CRM with ECC, there is a need to maintain a dummy division or you can also use a header division in CRM so that dummy division for data transfer is not required.
Go to CRM → Master Data → Organizational Management → Division Settings → Define Use of Division and Dummy Division.

SAP CRM Order to Cash process can be completed with integration to the SAP ECC system and specifically to the SAP SD module.
Following are the steps to be followed for a very basic straight forward order to cash business scenario in a retail environment:
Master Data:
  • Organisation Structure – The Organisation structure is maintained in the SAP ECC system and is replicated to the SAP CRM system.
  • Customer Master – Generally in a green-field implementation, the master system for Business Partners (Customers) is the SAP CRM system.
  • This is the best proposed route as SAP CRM provides a holistic 360 degree view of the Customer.
  • Product Master – Product master will normally be the SAP ECC system which has a more complex product/material management setup but SAP CRM.
Customizing data:
The customising data needs to be replicated from the SAP ECC to SAP CRM system for the condition technique and usages for the following:
Pricing
Free goods
Product determination
(Middleware is used to replicate data between the SAP ECC and SAP CRM systems)
Configuration of transactional and master data
All the necessary configuration is maintained within the SAP CRM and SAP ECC system along with any additional BADI implementation depending on the requirement of the business process to be implemented.
Following is the standard order to cash business processes in a retail environment
  • Sales Order is created in (see SAP SD training for complete sales order process) SAP CRM and replicated to the SAP ECC system using Middleware.
  • The SAP CRM system also creates a dependent item in the billing due list, containing billing information from the sales in situations where billing is carried out from the SAP CRM system.
  • A delivery is created in the SAP ECC system from the Sales Order.
  • The delivery status is also updated in the Sales order present in the SAP CRM system with the transaction history (document flow) updated.
  • Goods issue is posted in the SAP ECC system which relates to the reduction in stock level as material is picked from the plant or delivery unit for shipment to the customer
  • The delivered quantity and status is also updated to the sales order within the SAP CRM system with the transaction history (document flow) updated.
  • Based on the delivered items the previously created dependent item in the billing due list is updated.
  • A billing document is created in the SAP CRM system and deletes the corresponding billing due list item.
  • After verifying the invoices which were created, they are further released and replicated to the SAP FI-CA module within the SAP ECC system for further processing of the payment.
Define combination of distribution channels and divisions
You can also define combinations of distribution channels and divisions that can be assigned as attributes to the sales organization to define a sales area.
To define a combination of division and distribution channel, go to CRM → Master Data → Organizational Management → Organizational Data for Sales Scenarios → Define Combination of Distribution Channel and Division.
